Blue Sheer Embroidered Dress

Embroidered nightgown

This is what the dress used to look like, back in it’s nightgown days. But then it went on a date with a pair of scissors, and came home looking like this:

Blue Sheer Embroidered Dress

I was making a funny face, so that was just cut out. But I love how it wrinkles and how it flows. And also, this thing breathes. Which is necessary for a Utah summer. And I like to think that when paired with a leather belt, it’s not too nightgown-y.

And if I hear any comments about how the 4th of July has already passed, I’ll throw a small fit. Blue, red, and white don’t only mean one thing!

Mystery!

What will it be, what will it be? The first correct guess (from someone who doesn’t already know) will get a prize! Really!

I’m actually very close to finished with this – the picture was taken quite a while ago. But I’m so so excited to finish it and show all of you!

Twisted Stuffie

Thinking.

Oh man. I made this quite a while ago. Probably a month or so. But I’m just not that thrilled about it – I didn’t really try to make it cute. And the stuffing is really visible in places. This was the result of a “must-make-toys!” frenzy. And I put it’s head on sideways, which makes me think that it’s always doing the John-Dorian-daydream.

The pattern is Ysolde’s, and should be easily found on Ravelry. But I’m too lazy and over it to link.
