I finished this lovely shawl almost a year ago, but I don’t think it’s made its way to the old blog yet, and I think it’s still pretty enough to share. I made it using this Drops pattern and Lion Brand Fishermen’s wool.
This is how I usually wear it, sloppily draped around my neck with the tip of the triangle in the front. Even though the lace pattern makes a lot of holes, this does a great job of keeping the wind out. Thank goodness for wool. What would we do without sheep?
It’s made with a bunch of these square motifs, which are joined together as you go by interlocking picots. I think I would have really enjoyed this pattern if it weren’t for the picots. It seems that no matter how they are made, I always always hate stitching picots.
