10 cool things for kids
These dress up wings from Prudent Baby have already been all over the internet, but I can’t not share them. They’re so cute! I can’t wait until Grady’s a bit older and can appreciate dressup.
How cute is this doorway puppet theater from Skip to my Lou? This would be so great as a surprise to come home to after Grady’s first trip to the theater.
With these hand puppets from Just another day in paradise, of course.
Grady’s in a big block phase right now, and I think this puzzle is a great idea for introducing her to puzzles through a medium she understands and likes.
Bathtime-friendly toys are of very high value in this house. I think Grady’s still a bit too young to get this magnetic fishing st from mini-eco, but when she learns to communicate a little better I think she’ll love it.
This skirt tutorial is pretty great.
Imaginary shopping spree: Chicwish edition
Top to bottom, left to right:
- Peter Pan White Lace Dress
- Pleated Velvet High-waist Skirt (this is cute, but it bugs me when store’s descriptions aren’t accurate. That skirt is not at all “pleated.”)
- Handknit Cable Navy Hollow top (I’ve been looking for a knitting patterns somewhat like this – something slouchy with a wide and low neck that I can make somewhat sheer.)
- Delicacy triple layers tutu in red
- Lacy Faux Fur Coat
- Stylish in all Seasons bag in Boston red (This gorgeous bag is only $60. Chicwish’s prices are always really good.)
- Ace of Lace shirt in noir (the back panel of this blouse is black lace. Kind of weird, but I like it.)
- Faux leather aviator jacket
- Lace Backless dress in lavender
I was kind of dubious at first, but then I checked Untangling Knots out and realized the writer is actually a designer I’ve been admiring on ravelry. Her cardigans are to die for, and I’m a sucker for a good cardigan, so through that unbreakable logic I’m now participating in the month of craft photos. I’ll only post the best of them here, but the rest you can find on instagram (my username is thrifted) and on my flickr.
This, my first entry, is of me working on a piece for this awesome art project (that you should totally participate in if you’re inclined to stitch) and wearing my beloved Aidez. I don’t think I’ve ever given this sweater a proper FO post, and I likely never will. But I do so love it.
