Release party: Nadia’s chevron scarf

I made this little scarf for my ex-assistant (ex- because I quit, to be specific) Nadia. I’m a little too embarrassed to mention when I made it, because that would just emphasize how far behind I am in blogging about the stuff I make. Let’s just say that there was snow on the ground and poinsettias in the living room when I took these pictures.

Project details:
Pattern: Improvised chevron
Yarn: Every color is Berroco Ultra Alpaca Light
Hook: G
Time spent: Three days

This crocheted chevron pattern is one that I just intrinsically know. Most of my baby blankets were crocheted in this pattern, I remember watching my mom work in this pattern countless times when I was a kid and working in chevron just comes absolutely naturally when I start to crochet. It’s a biological thing. For this pattern I chose to do 5-row stripes. I chose the colors to go with this awesome gray jacket Nadia has.

This yarn is just wonderful. It’s cheap, it’s easy to work with, it comes in beautiful colors, and it is soft. I would recommend it for just about any wooly project.
